Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Pizza Time - Brooklyn, a delightful pizza haven located at 1324 Avenue J, Brooklyn, NY. This charming pizzeria has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike, renowned for its commitment to serving exceptional kosher pizza.

The first thing that strikes you upon entering is the friendly atmosphere. Customers rave about the welcoming staff, who are not only helpful but genuinely passionate about the pizza they serve. As one visitor, Harsh Soni, noted, the warm interaction at the counter enhances the experience, making it all the more enjoyable as you select from an enticing array of slices.

Pizza Time expertly crafts thin and crispy pies that come out of the oven looking and smelling divine. Reviews highlight the cheesy crust and the delightful pasta slice, both of which promise a hearty yet light indulgence. In the words of Isaac, the cheese is “perfectly melty,” while the sauce bursts with rich flavor, creating a memorable bite with every slice.

The restaurant's clean and simple design embodies the classic pizzeria vibe, complete with bench seating and condiments at hand. It’s a casual space where patrons can relax, enjoy their food, and even take advantage of a convenient bathroom facility up front.

Moreover, the selection at Pizza Time doesn't stop at just pizza. Diners also lauded the delightful fries and a range of drinks, rounding off the meal and contributing to a fabulous dining experience. As noted by Eli Blau, the ambiance and design remind many of the pizzeria of their dreams, further enhancing the nostalgic dining experience.

While some may consider the prices to be a notch above average—ranging from $5 to $7 per slice—many customers like Joseph A argue that the quality justifies the cost. The dough is consistently light and airy, ensuring that each slice holds together without losing integrity, even for the stuffed crust lovers.

In summary, whether you’re a local or just passing through Brooklyn, Pizza Time - Brooklyn offers an authentic slice of New York charm and culinary excellence. With its top-notch ingredients, warm service, and inviting atmosphere, a visit here is sure to satisfy your pizza cravings.

Where to Visit

Visitor Testimonials (1159)

I came to visit my brother in Brooklyn and stopped by Pizza Time to grab a slice before driving back home. From the start, the man working the counter was so friendly and helpful in picking the best slices to try. He explained that all the slices were kosher. I ended up ordering a cheesy crust slice and a pasta slice. Both slices came out of the oven piping hot while being thin and crispy. Exceptional quality and taste! The restaurant has enough seating and is clean. It is like any other pizzeria with bench seats, condiments at every table, and red trays to eat off of. There is a bathroom right in the front as well. Parking may be difficult to find because there is only street parking.

Best Pizza/calzones hands down, no diggity no doubt! That undercarriage on the pizzas were insane!!

Not only was the pizza a delightful symphony within the concave of my mouth, the fries and drinks contributed to the fabulous experience. The staff on site was not only courteous, but exceptionally helpful beyond what is expected. The atmosphere reminds me of the pizzeria of my dreams, gray hardwood looks and immaculate pizza ovens.

Kosher Pizza Time is hands-down the best pizza I’ve ever tried! The cheese is perfectly melty, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the crust is crispy and fresh. Their specialty pies are loaded with toppings and absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for top-notch kosher pizza in Midwood, Brooklyn, this place is a must!

I was shocked at how good this pizza was. I’m a fan of the 3 sauce squares (pesto, marinara, vodka) and Krispy pizza is my go to for those but this was better. Every bite was crispy and the dough was light and airy. Sometimes these can lose their composure but this stayed neat and didn’t fall apart. The flavor was amazing. However, they are $7 each. I also got a plain slice (forgot to take a picture) which in my opinion is comparable in taste and texture with Luigi’s; my all time favorite for a plain cheese. These are $5 each. Lastly, I got a stuffed crust and was very pleased with that as well. I was already getting full but it was so good I had to finish it all. The stuffed crust is $7 each. So yes, the prices are up there with some of the more expensive spots you’d find in Williamsburg or manhattan but it’s worth it in my opinion. I’ll have to try the margherita next.

Staple neighborhood pizza spot. It’s kosher so not all options are available, but I would gladly skip out on pepperoni if it means I get to try this always fresh, delicious pizza. Get the fries too, they’re delicious.

The best pizza in town!!! Great service!!! Big slices!!! No credit card.pretty pricy....

Absolutely had to visit after the one bite review, so when I was in NY for the week I came by. The owner was extremely helpful, friendly and overall great guy and recommended good slices. It was absolutely super fresh and every slice is a little different, definitely recommend the beautiful grandpa slice and the dough balls! Take the time to relax and enjoy, take in the atmosphere! Thank you
